On March 27, teachers and school staff at Petitcodiac Regional School will be involved in a full day of professional learning to support student success. ELA and French teachers will take part in workshops to strengthen how they teach writing and literacy across different grade levels. Math teachers from K–12 will participate in sessions focused on improving numeracy instruction, including learning new routines, tools, and strategies that help students better understand math concepts. Art and Music teachers will join hands‑on sessions exploring creative projects—such as murals, art therapy, and ukulele activities—to boost student engagement. Educational Assistants will receive training on supporting students who are developing communication skills. In addition, all teachers will learn about assistive technology that helps students access learning more independently. Some staff will also use part of the day for planning, collaborating, and reviewing student learning to ensure consistency and strong support across grades. We look forward to applying this learning to future learning activities at PRS!
